Unpacking Mont Tremblant: A Winter Wonderland + Some Incredible Flight Deals To Major CAD Cities! 🇨🇦
5 Reasons I’d Drive 6.5 Hours for This | 41
This last weekend, starting Friday, I got hit with this massive cold—complete with an energy-draining high fever and a cough emanating from deep within my chest, setting everything on fire. It’s brutal. A friend of mine, whose party I had to begrudgingly cancel, told me something is going around. Be careful out there.
Since I’m stuck on the couch, I’m mentally escaping back to the snow. We’re finally getting some fresh powder here, which reminded me of last year’s road trip to Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. It’s a place that somehow manages to be both a relaxing spa getaway and an adrenaline junkie’s playground.
The Perfect Quebec Winter Postcard
The drive from Toronto took approximately 6 ½ hours, leading us straight into the beautiful Laurentian Mountains. The area is best known as a ski destination, offering epic ski hills with breathtaking scenery.
But to be honest, it’s truly an all-season destination. Whether it’s ice climbing and dog sledding in the snow, or white water rafting, zip lining, and golf in the warmer months, Mont-Tremblant has it all. Throw in delicious food, a vibrant casino, and world-class spa treatments, and you’ll never be able to get me to leave.
My 5 Faves
Sentier des cimes Laurentides: This is an awesome elevated wooden path that takes you among the treetops, ending at a massive panoramic tower with a 360-degree view and golden sunsets. Best of all? It’s completely accessible with no stairs, so everyone can enjoy the climb.
Ice Climbing: Nothing but spikes on your boots and ice in your face. What a rush… and what a workout (eek!). But no worries if you’ve never done it before; there’s an experienced instructor to teach you the basics. I’m pleased to report Gordana made it to the top like a champ.

Central Tapas & Nightclub: Inspired by Spanish tradition, this spot serves incredible shareables like empanadas and patatas bravas. After 10 PM, it transforms into a high-energy nightclub if you have any energy left after the climb.
Scandinave Spa Mont-Tremblant: A traditional Nordic thermal spa hiding in the forest. It offers hot baths, cold plunges, and relaxation areas—the perfect way to recoup from a day on the slopes or ice climbing. Our highlight was wading out into the Devil’s River for an epic cold plunge.
Kanatha-Aki Nature Centre: Dog sledding here was one of our favourite things we’ve ever experienced (and it happens to be what they’re known for). From dipping and diving through the trees to hanging out with the bison, the outdoor adventures are endless.
